Falcons Shatter Three School Records at Meyo Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Bowling Green track and field team closed the Meyo Invitational on Saturday by breaking three school records and posting six personal records, with multiple Falcons climbing the program's all-time lists.
Reese Reaman led the distance group by breaking her own school record in the 800m, finishing second in 2:08.04. Rachael Hoover followed with a school-record performance in the mile, winning the event in 4:40.35. Kylee Cubbison rounded out the record-setting efforts by lowering her own mark in the 3000m, clocking 9:17.95.
In the sprints, Kiersten Franklin climbed to second on Bowling Green's all-time list in the 60m, placing third with a 7.47. Keira Bonds added her name to the program's top 10 list during prelims with a 7.59, while Morgan Patterson recorded a personal best 7.80.
DaMya Barker finished sixth in the 60m hurdles with an 8.71. Reagan Campbell posted a season-best 56.57 in the 400m to place sixth and move to eighth on the Falcons' all-time list, while Tyyetta Herman also recorded a season best at 57.85.
Lexi Panning added a strong effort in the 5000m, finishing in 17:03.71.
Bowling Green also found success in the field events, led by Sierra Brinson, who placed eighth in the weight throw with a mark of 14.25m, continuing a consistent indoor season for the Falcons' throws group.
The meet concluded with Bowling Green's 4x400m relay team finishing sixth in 3:46.84.
"There was a lot of positive momentum and energy this weekend," head coach Lou Snelling said. "We have to keep building through February and utilize our experience and focus to manage the next month successfully."
