Falcons Shine in Field Events on Final Day of Doug Raymond Invite

KENT, Ohio — Bowling Green's track and field team closed the Doug Raymond Invitational with a strong showing Saturday, highlighted by multiple personal records and top 10 finishes.
The Falcons impressed in the triple jump, where Bianca Staples recorded a personal-best 12.81m to finish second. The mark ranks second all-time in program history. Kiera Bonds added a fourth-place finish with a PR of 12.45m, moving her to fourth on BGSU's all-time list.
Bowling Green's throwers delivered solid results in the shot put. Sierra Brinson placed second with a 14.16m throw, while Lily Tomasheski finished fourth with a personal-best 13.37m. Sierra Podolan added an eighth-place finish at 12.36m.
On the track, Morgan Patterson led the Falcons in the 60m hurdles, finishing third in 8.58 seconds. DaMya Barker placed fifth in 8.73, and Christabelle Obi finished seventh in 8.86.
Erinae Coleman placed third in the 60m dash at 7.67 seconds. In the 400, Tyyetta Herman (57.54), Syerra Greber (57.92) and Alexsia Davis (58.34) posted personal records, and Obi finished in 1:00.37.
Viktorie Krizova wrapped up the pentathlon with 2,528 points, highlighted by a 2:28.20 performance in the 800.
Bowling Green will split its squad Feb. 13–14, competing at the Heartland Invitational in Indianapolis and the GVSU Big Meet in Allendale, Mich.
