2014: Finished his career with 313.0 innings pitched after tossing 88.1 innings … only pitcher in Bowling Green history to surpass 300 career innings … finished second in career strikeouts with 221, just 11 shy of the all-time record … 88.1 innings pitched were 10th-most in school history for a single season … had a 4-7 record with a 5.09 earned run average … went 4-3 over his final seven decisions, picking up his first win of the season on March 30 against Northern Illinois … in that game, Frank pitched 7.0 inning shwile striking out three and not allowing an earned run … earned MAC East Pitcher of the Week for his performance … the next week, Frank tossed his first complete game of the season, striking out 12 batters in 9.0 innings while allowing just one run against Western Michigan … once again earned MAC East Pitcher of the Week … picked up a third straight win on April 18 at Akron, as he went 6.0 innings while striking out five batters … picked up his fourth win of the season on May 9 against Ohio, pitching 6.1 innings while allowing just six hits.
2013: Made 16 starts, compiling a 5-8 record with a 3.87 ERA...pitched 102.1 innings on the season, second most in school history...struck out 80 batters, tied for seventh most all-time for a single season...went a season and career-high 10 innings in a game on May 11 at Ohio, picking up the win...also threw a complete game for the win against Toledo on May 25 in the MAC Tournament...struck out a season and career-high eight batters on two different occasions...only walked 25 batters, for a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 3.2.
2012: Received a redshirt for the 2012 season.
2011: Appeared in 22 games for the Falcons on the mound, starting one...in his 57.0 innings, Frank only allowed 32 earned runs...with an ERA of 5.05 and a record of 1-1, he was primarily used in late-inning relief situations, saving five games for the Falcons...held opponents to a batting average of .267, which was best on the team for pitchers that appeared in more than 10 games.
2010: Made17 appearances on the mound for Bowling Green, including 12 starts…saw his first action as the number-two starter on Feb. 20, 2010 against Louisville where he threw four innings, allowing two hits and one run (unearned) while walking two and striking out one batter in a no-decision…in his first relief appearance in a non-conference game against Central Michigan (3/24) he pitched a scoreless inning of work…earned his first career win against Northern Illinois (3/27) in a 7-2 win where he threw 6.0 innings and allowed five hits, two runs (one earned) and struck out four Huskies…in his longest outing of the year he earned his second win after throwing 7.0 innings and allowing two runs on the road against Ohio (4/24)…struck out a season-high six batters at home against Miami over 4.2 innings of work in a no-decision…served as a reliever during the MAC Tournament and pitched a combined 6.0 innings and allowed only three hits and one run in a pair of losses to Central Michigan.
HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year letterwinning product of AWHS head coach and former Falcon assistant coach, Mark Nell, he turned in fantastic junior and senior years for the Generals of Anthony Wayne… named to the Division I All-State Honorable Mention team following his junior year when he spotlighted a 0.88 earned-run average…was named team captain and won team co-MVP honors after his senior year following a season where he had a 1.82 ERA over 82.2 innings pitched…was near an 11:1 strikeout to walk ratio after sitting down 102 batters via strikeout…walked only nine batters that year…was named to the Division I Second Team All-State after his senior year…was also named to the Division I First Team All-District his junior and senior seasons…his teams won NLL championships in 2006 and 2007 in addition to being 2008 and 2009 district champions…was also was a three year member of the Whitehouse Legion summer baseball team…was a two year letterwinner at Anthony Wayne in soccer.
