David Dietrich joined the BGSU Athletic Department as a Strategic Communications Assistant in August of 2021. He will serve as the primary contact for ice hockey, track and field, and tennis. In 2021, he was as the primary contact for the BGSU volleyball team. He will also assist in the public relations effort for all 18 of the university’s sports.
From 2018-20, Dietrich served as an Athletic Communications Student Assistant at BGSU, helping with statistics and social media for various sports. He was the primary contact for swimming and diving in 2019-20.
In 2018, Dietrich served as a Sports Information and Athletic Marketing intern with Heidelberg University. In 2020, he spent the summer as an intern with Mohawk High School, creating a digital Athletic Hall of Fame.
Dietrich, a native of Tiffin, Ohio, received his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from BGSU in 2020.
