Derek Shay, a 2013 graduate of Eastern Illinois University, will join Dino Babers' staff at Bowling Green as an offensive graduate assistant in 2014. Shay served as an undergraduate assistant under Babers.
Shay worked with the offensive line and tight ends during his two seasons at Eastern Illinois. He has also worked at the high school level for two seasons, serving as an assistant coach at Cerro Gordo High School (2010) and Marshall High School (2011).
Shay played collegiately for one season at Western Illinois University before transferring to Eastern Illinois and finishing out his college career in coaching.
