Throughout the summer, the Bowling Green State University Athletics Department will be counting down the top 10 stories of the 2010-11 year. The list was compiled and voted on by members of the Athletics Department administration and Athletic Communications department. We'll release the list one at a time until announcing the No. 1 moment on Aug. 2.
Christine Chiricosta Named Academic All-American While Breaking Tennis Wins Records
Christine Chiricosta became the first women's tennis player in school history to be named a first team Academic All-American, earning the Capital One at-large award after shattering school record upon record during her senior season. She holds all three of the biggest program wins records, with 89 career singles wins, 89 career doubles wins, and 178 combined career victories.
