Team Signs Two To National Letters Of Intent

Bowling Green State University Head Women's Swimming Coach Randy Julian and Assistant Coach Kendra Lowe announced today the signing of two student-athletes to national letters of intent in the early signing period.
Ashley Atkinson from Napoleon, Ohio, and Kelly O'Hara from West Chester, Ohio, have each decided to attend BGSU beginning in the fall of 1999.
Atkinson, currently a senior at Napoleon High School is the defending district champion in the 500 freestyle. She also swims the 200 freestyle. A member of the Napoleon Aquatic Club, Atkinson was a high school teammate of Falcon freshman Kim Moden. The Napoleon Wildcats have been the team district champions the last three years and she was also a member of the 1998 Ohio state water polo championship team.
O'Hara, currently a senior at Lakota West High School, swam five events at the junior nationals (50-100-200 freestyle and 100-200 backstroke). The younger sister of current BG men's swim team member Kyle O'Hara, Kelly also swims for the Cincinnati Marlins.
The Bowling Green State University women's swimming and diving team currently has a 2-3 overall record heading into the Eastern Michigan Invitational on Dec. 4-5. The only two seniors on the 24-person squad are co-captains Kate Rosinsky and Tina Sullivan.
