Team Signs One To National Letter Of Intent

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University Head Women's Swimming Coach Randy Julian and Assistant Coach Kendra Lowe announced today the signing of a student-athlete to a national letter of intent during the early signing period.
Jessie Humes from Bowling Green, Ohio, has decided to attend BGSU beginning in the fall of 2000.
Humes, currently a senior at Bowling Green High School, is the defending district champion in both the 200 and 500 freestyle. She set a district record in the 500 free and was an Ohio state finalist (top eight) in both events as a junior under the guidance of veteran high school swim coach Gary Layne.
This past summer as a member of the Bowling Green Gators swim club, Humes placed 20th in the 800 free at the Junior Nationals held in Bloomington, Indiana.
The Bowling Green State University women's swimming and diving team currently has a 3-3 overall record heading into the Notre Dame Invitational on Dec. 2-4. There are 10 seniors on the 28-person 1999-2000 squad.
