The Brown and Orange suffered a three-goal setback on the road. WMU's Katie Markey opened the scoring just five minutes into the match, and she scored again with five minutes left in the first half.
Mandy Smith got BG's lone goal with 59 seconds remaining in the half, with an assist from Janice Mentrup.
The host Broncos regained a two-goal lead just six minutes into the second stanza, and added an insurance tally with 10 minutes left.
Erika Flanders made eight saves in net for the Falcons, who were outshot by an 18-14 margin. WMU held a 12-6 edge in shots on goal.
The loss means that the Falcons no longer control their own destiny in the quest for a MAC Tournament berth. BGSU must defeat Toledo (Oct. 30) and hope for a pair of Kent losses against Eastern Michigan (Oct. 24) and Buffalo (Oct. 30).
