DELAWARE, Ohio - The Bowling Green men's cross country team posted a third-place finish at Friday's (Oct. 13) All-Ohio Championships. The race, which generally features nearly every college and university in the state, was held in Delaware, Ohio.
The Falcons had a team score of 104 points to place behind only Kent State (73) and Malone (91).
Cincinnati's Chris Reis was the individual winner in the 245-man race. For the Falcons, junior Tom Kutter was the top finisher, placing third overall. Kutter finished in a time of 26:12.
Classmate Rob Glatz placed eighth in the race, while freshman Paul Niedzwiecki was 26th. Sophomore Dave Larson finished 29th, and junior Austin Chapin rounded out BGSU's scorers with a 41st-place finish.
Senior Kreg Hatfield (85th) and sophomore Brian O'Donnell (137th) also ran for the Brown and Orange.
The Falcons are now idle from competition until Saturday, Oct. 28, when the team heads to Kalamazoo, Mich., for the Mid-American Conference Championship. Start time for that race is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
