Miami Tops Falcons, 24-10

Miami scored 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter as the RedHawks took a 24-10 victory over BGSU in Oxford. Miami moves to 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the MAC East, while BGSU fell to 1-6 and 1-3.
The Falcons led 7-0 at halftime. The BGSU defense was strong in the first half, limiting the league's third-ranked offense to 121 yards , including a negative 17-yard rushing effort.
The Falcons scored on their first possession to cap a seven-play, 80-yard drive when Sahm hit freshman Andre Pinchem for a 34-yard TD strike with 9:07 left in the first quarter. Miami QB Mike Bath scored on a 27-yard run with 2:37 left in the third quarter to begin the Miami rally. Junior kicker Mike Knapp nailed a 19-yard field goal to start the fourth quarter to allow BGSU to regain the lead at 10-7. The key play on the drive was a 55-yard run by freshman Josh Harris who finished with 103 yards rushing.
Bath marched the Redhawks down the field and scored on a one-yard keeper to give MU the lead for good with 11:03 left. Sophomore Andy Brumberg tacked on a 23-yard field goal with 8:35 left and Junior Steve Little sealed the victory with a 51-yard run with 1:19 to go.
The Falcons will host Eastern Michigan, Saturday, October 21 in their only night game at Perry Stadium at 7 p.m.
