Bowling Green State University senior swimmer Bethany Budde (Trenton, MI/Mercy) and junior swimmer Jen Jarjosa (Cincinnati, OH/Lakota) were both selected to the 2000 GTE Academic All-District IV University Division Fall/Winter Women's At-Large First Team.
The district team is made up of student-athletes from Division I schools in Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee.
To be nominated, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve, and must carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 or higher. Team members are chosen by a vote of members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) within the district.
First team selections will appear on the national ballot for the GTE Academic All-America Fall/Winter Women's At-Large Team.
Budde, a second team selection last year, maintains a 3.82 gpa in Scientific Communication.
Jarjosa, a first-time honoree, carries a 4.00 gpa in biology.
