Angie Domschot Is MAC Player Of The Week

Bowling Green State University junior Angie Domschot has been named the Mid-American Conference Softball Player of the Week, the league office has announced. Domschot earns the honor for the first time in her Falcon career.
Domschot, a second baseman, batted .625, with five hits in eight at-bats, as the Falcons went 2-0 last week. BGSU swept a Wednesday (April 5) doubleheader at Detroit, winning by scores of 5-3 and 8-6.
BGSU had six games postponed due to inclement weather last week.
Domschot had a slugging percentage of 1.000 in the two games, as three of her five hits were doubles. She had a pair of multiple-hit games, going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles in the opener and 2-for-4 with a two-bagger in the nightcap. She scored a run in each game.
On the year, Domschot is hitting .303 with 20 runs scored and 10 batted in. She has an on-base percentage of .347 and a slugging pct. of .449, and she leads the Falcons in a plethora of categories, including at-bats (89), runs, hits (27), doubles (7), triples (3) and total bases (40).
Domschot leads the MAC in runs scored per game, with 0.80., and is second in triples per game (0.12) and eighth in doubles per game (0.28).
The Falcons, 17-8 overall and 2-2 in the MAC, are scheduled to host Ohio State in a non-conference game Tuesday (April 11). That contest is set for a 4:00 p.m. start.
Following another non-conference single game, Thursday (April 13) at Dayton, the Brown and Orange will welcome Akron to town for a three-game MAC weekend series at the BGSU Softball Field. The Falcons and Zips will meet in a 3:00 p.m. single game Friday (April 14) and a 1:00 p.m. doubleheader Saturday (April 15).
