Falcons Place 13th At Notre Dame Invitational

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Bowling Green State University men's cross country team recorded a 13th-place finish in the Blue Division race at the Notre Dame Invitational. The 18-team race was held at the Notre Dame Golf Course Friday (Oct. 5).
The Falcons had a team score of 319 points. Host Notre Dame won the race with a team total of 28 points.
Individually, the Falcons were led by sophomore Justin Perez, who placed 27th in the 8K, 146-runner race. Perez finished in a time of 25:13. The individual winner of the race was Notre Dame's Luke Watson, in a time of 24:06.
Other Falcon finishers included senior Tom Kutter (32nd, 25:19), freshman Grant Shadden (50th, 25:35), senior Chad Kunkle (111th, 26:32), sophomore Paul Niedzwiecki (117th, 26:44), senior Rob Glatz (129th, 27:11), juniors Dave Larson (134th, 27:20), Andy Artiaga (139th, 27:36) and Nolan Fahrer (144th, 27:59).
The Falcons now prepare for the Michigan Interregional on Oct. 14. That race, in Ann Arbor, Mich., will be the Falcons' final tune-up before the Mid-American Conference Championship. The league meet will be held in Ypsilanti, Mich., on Oct. 27.
