Volleyball Stays Busy In The Spring

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University volleyball team is managing to stay busy during the spring months, and the Falcons have several events coming up in the next few weeks.
The Falcons of head coach Denise Van De Walle will host a spring tournament on Saturday, April 7. Six teams will join BGSU in the tourney, including Mid-American Conference foes Eastern Michigan University and Kent State University. Rounding out the tournament field are Cleveland State, Findlay, Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne and Oakland.
The tournament will be held at Anderson Arena, and admission is free. Play begins at 9:00 a.m., and the teams will use the new rally-scoring format to 30 points.
Additionally, the Bowling Green volleyball team will hold its banquet to honor the 2000 team on Sunday, April 8. The banquet will be held at the BG Country Club.
The social portion of the banquet will begin at 2:30 p.m., with dinner starting at 3:00 p.m. The cost of the banquet is $25, and fans can also sponsor a player for $25. To order tickets, sponsor a player or for any questions, please contact the BGSU volleyball office at (419) 372-7067.
