Three Falcon Women Compete at Texas Relays Day Two

Austin, Texas - Three members of the Bowling Green women's track team took part in day two of the 74th Clyde Littlfield Texas Relays Thursday in Austin, Texas. Senior Lisa Mariea (Toledo, OH) finished the highest of the three, placing eighth in the 3,000 meter run in a time of 10:16.88. Right behind her in ninth place was classmate Christine Thompson (Amherst, OH) in a time of 10:20.89.
Senior Lisa Keegan (Green Springs, OH) rounded out the day for the Falcons taking 19th in the hammer throw with a toss of 169-0.
The Texas Relays are a national event with entries in the college/university, high school and invitational divisions. Mariea will be in action again tomorrow evening competing in the 5,000 meter run. Also in action will be senior high jumper and indoor All-American Stephanie Heldt (Toledo, OH). The remainder of the women's team begins competition tomorrow in the Northwest Ohio Classic hosted by the University of Findlay, but held at BGSU's Whittaker Track.
