The sellout crowd was the third this season at home and ninth during in Anderson Arena during the five-year tenure of Coach Dan Dakich.
The Falcons dropped their first home game of the season after winning seven straight in Bowling Green. Kent State is the lone team to remain unbeaten at home in the MAC.
In the last four games, BGSU is committing just 10 turnovers per game.
Senior Len Matela had his fourth double-double (19 points, 12 rebounds) in five games and the 28th of his career. His 1,283 points ties him with Keith Taylor for #17 on the all-time BGSU list.
With 19 points, Keith McLeod now has 1,563 points and needs 15 to move into the #6 spot at BGSU past Walt Piatkowski.
Freshman Germain Fitch, who made his second start of the season, had a season-best six points.
Sophomore Kevin Netter made his first start of the season.
