Falcons Down Chippewas, 45-35, To Remain Undefeated

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) - Josh Harris ran for three touchdowns and threw for 176 yards and another score as Bowling Green beat Central Michigan 45-35 Saturday.
The Falcons are 5-0 for the first time since 1985, while the Chippewas have lost three straight.
Harris threw for 176 yards with one interception and then ran for 138 yards on 22 carries for the Falcons (2-0 Mid-American Conference).
The Chippewas (3-3, 1-1) scored on their first possession of the game when Terrance Jackson dove into the end zone from a yard out, but the Falcons reeled off 28 unanswered points before halftime.
Harris had a hand in the final two scores of the half, when he ran in from 1 yard out and then connected with Robert Redd on a 22-yard scoring pass.
Robbie Mixon finished with 132 yards rushing on 14 carries for the Chippewas while Derrick Vickers ran for two touchdowns and passed for another.
The Falcons essentially iced it with 9:30 left, when Harris scored on a 2-yard run to cap a 12-play drive that took 6:43 off the clock.
