Team USA Under-18 Team
The National Team is coming off of a successful trip overseas last week to Sweden. Team U.S.A. finished 3-0 at the Four Nations Tournament, defeating Switzerland (3-2), Finland (4-2) and Sweden (4-3). The team has four double-digit scorers, including T.J. Hensick (8-8--16), Josh Sciba (4-8--12), J.D. Corbin (6-5--11), and Adam Pineault (6-5--11). They are 0-7-1 vs. NCAA Division I schools this season. The tie came vs. Yale (3-3).
Bowling Green (2-8-1, 0-7-1) Coming Off Physical Weekend With #6 Michigan
Bowling Green earned its first point in league play last weekend with a 1-1 tie vs. visiting Michigan at the BGSU Ice Arena. There were 21 penalties called between the two teams in the first two periods, alone. BGSU assistant captain Kevin Bieksa scored the lone Falcon goal in the first period (18:30), but paid a price. After the slapshot from above the two circles, he was hit hard by a UM player. He left the game and did not return. The previous night, UM captain Jed Ortmeyer left the game in the second period due to a knee injury. He did not play on Saturday and is expected to miss several weeks.

Sigalet tied a career-high for the second time this season with 48 saves while assisting on the lone Falcon goal. Michigan tied the game at 13:20 of the second period via Mark Mink's goal. It was the first time BGSU held Michigan to one goal in its last 52 meetings and it was the first time this season that UM was held under three goals.
Nov. 8 - #6 Michigan 6, BGSU 4 - Michigan scored four goals in the second period en route to a 6-4 victory over BGSU. Four different Falcons scored goals in the loss, including JR Kip Horner who netted his first collegiate goal with just six seconds remaining in the game. JR Mark Wires kicked off the scoring at just 3:17 into the first period. It was his team-leading fifth goal of the season. Other netters for BGSU came from SO Steve Brudzewski (PPG, 7:48 second period) and FR Brett Pilkington (PPG, 4:30 third period). UM had two power-play goals and a short-hander in the win. However, Miami scored the next three goals of the game for a 3-1 lead early in the third period. JR captain D'Arcy McConvey attempted a penalty shot at 10:03 of the third period which would have brought the Falcons to within one, but missed after going stick-side on David Burleigh. BGSU did cut it to within one at 15:24 with an unassisted goal by Bieksa, but got no closer. Miami had 30 shots on net while BGSU had 21. SO Jordan Sigalet had 27 saves for the Falcons.

BGSU is 3-0-1 in those contests and have never shut out Michigan in the 31-year-history of the series.
