Twyman Named To Academic All-MAC Team

Senior right-side hitter Laura Twyman was named to the Academic All-MAC team today as announced by the Mid-American Conference office. This is the second time the Sugar Land, Texas native has earned this honor.

To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50% of the contests for that particular sport. First year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award. Outstanding academic and athletic accomplishments from the current season only are considered.

Earlier this season, Twyman was named to the Verizon Academic District IV Second Team for her achievements on and off the court. Twyman, an accounting major at the university, carries a 3.96 cumulative GPA.
