The Falcons ended the regular season with a 22-7 record. BGSU also tied with Ball State for the second best overall MAC record at 12-6.
The Falcons will be the No. 3 seed in the MAC Tournament which begins on Monday.
The Falcons will play the winner of the #6 Western Michigan vs. No. 11 Akron game on Thursday night at 9 p.m. at Gund Arena in Cleveland.
The top three teams have earned a first- round bye and advance to Thursday's quarterfinal round, which begins at noon on March 7.

MCLEOD AND THE RECORD BOOK
With his nine free throws made, Keith McLeod has established a new school record for most free throws made in a career with 523. The old mark of 516 was shared by Anthony Stacey and Howard Komives.
With his four three point field goals, McLeod also set a new school single-season record of 76 three point baskets. That tops the old mark of 72 set by Jay Larranaga in 1996 and by Shane Komives in 1994.
With his 35 points, his eighth game of 30 points or better this season, McLeod now trails Antonio Daniels by two points for third place on the school's all-time scoring list at 1,787 points scored.
MAC GAMES ONLY LEADERS
McLeod edged Northern Illinois' Leon Rodgers for the scoring lead 22.2 to 21.9 in the 18-game conference season. In overall games, McLeod leads 22.3 to 21.4.
Senior Len Matela was the top shooter in the league at 61.9 percent. He also leads the league overall in that category at 58.8.
Senior Brandon Pardon led the league in assists (6.94). He also leads the league overall at 6.45 per game.
The Falcons finished second in the league in scoring defense (67.4), scoring margin (8.7), field goal percentage (48.8), field goal percentage defense (.424), assists (14.56) and assist/turnover ratio (1.09).
