Bowling Green (#11 seed) begins its postseason on the road this weekend at Michigan State (#2 seed), March 8-10, in a best-of-three series. All three contests are scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. faceoff.

Bowling Green and CCHA Tournament History
The Falcons are the only team in CCHA playoff history to have a winning road record (16-13-2). BGSU has won the last two seasons on the road in the first-round of the CCHA Tournament and have won seven of eight first-round series in the last 10 years. The Falcons missed the playoffs in 1992 and 1998. Five of the first-round wins have come against a higher seed. Bowling Green has won a first-round playoff series at Michigan, Western Michigan, Lake Superior and Miami. This is the first time MSU and BGSU have met in the first round of the CCHA playoffs.
Head Coach Buddy Powers
Buddy Powers (Boston University '75) is in his eighth season as head coach of the Falcons. Powers has an overall record of 255-218-41 (.536 pct.) in 13 years as head coach at Bowling Green (1994-SA), Rensselaer (1989-94) and Rochester Institute of Technology (1988-89). His record with the Brown and Orange stands at 135-147-26 (.481 pct.). Appointed the head coach at Bowling Green on July 12, 1994, Powers is the fourth head coach in the program's history. It is his 14th season overall on the Falcon bench after serving six years as assistant coach under Jerry York from 1982-88. Powers' playoff record at Bowling Green stands at 11-7.
