Swimming and Diving Awards Banquet Held

The Bowling Green Swimming and Diving team announced award winners for the 2001-2002 season at the annual squad banquet held last week.
The Women's Most Improved Swimmer award went to freshman Amy Smith. Fellow classmate Molly O'Donnell was named the squad's Most Improved Diver.
The teams' Most Valuable Swimmer award was given to sophomore Sarah Agnew while fellow sophomore Emily Hois was named Most Valuable Diver. Sarah Agnew was also presented with the Falcon's Swimmer of the Year award for her accomplishments over the past season.
Also included at the banquet was the announcement of the third class of recipients for the Accomplished Alumni Swimmers and Divers. These aknowledgements were made by the Society for Alumni Swimmers and Divers.

William Zeeb ('70) coached by Tom Stubbs
Valerie Newell ('75) coached by Jean Campbell*
*first female inductee
Note: John F. Bruce ('53) - coached by Sam Cooper**was awarded the Accompished Swimmer Award in 2001, posthumously, and was recognized at this year's banquet. Bruce was the Head Men's Swim Coach at Ohio State University from 1968-1975.
