Athlon Sports Picks Falcon Hoops To Finish Second

Bowling Green, Ohio - Athlon Sports College Basketball Annual has picked the 2002-03 Bowling Green State University men's basketball team to finish second in the West Division in its annual preseason publication. This year will be for first for the Falcons in the West Division.
The Falcons, who lose all five starters from a team which finished 24-9 a year ago, will open the season November 23 at Detroit-Mercy. Coach Dan Dakich's young squad, seven of 11 players are either freshman or sophomores, will be tested early and often with a non-conference schedule that includes road games at Michigan and Northwestern and neutral site games with Alabama and Cleveland State.
In addition, BGSU will participate in the first-ever ESPN Bracket Buster later in the season.
