FALCONS IN HAWAII
Bowling Green will be making its second trip to Hawaii in five seasons when they play in the 40th Annual Outrigger Hotels Rainbow Classic. BGSU won the Nextell Challenge in November of 1999 when it defeated Jackson State, 60-43, and host Hawaii, 53-49, enroute to winning the 2000 MAC regular season championship.

REIMOLD KEYS FALCON WIN OVER DETROIT
After missing the better part of five games with a severe thigh injury, junior John Reimold returned to the starting lineup against Detroit and led the Falcons to a 56-52 triumph, ending BGSU's five-game losing streak. Reimold had 17 points and made four of seven from three-point range. In his three starts this season, BGSU is 3-0 and he is averaging 16 points. In addition, the Falcons are holding t heir opponents to 60 points per game when he is in the lineup, while allowing 76.6 when he is not in the starting lineup.
FALCONS LOOKING TO GET HEALTHY
When the Falcons went 24-9 in the 2001-02 season, not one player missed a single minute due to injury. With Germain Fitch (knee) missing Thursday's game against Detroit, it marked the 36th straight game that BGSU has had at least one projected starter miss a game due to injury At IPFW, John Reimold also missed making it the 20th time in 23 games that at least two projected starters were unavailable.
BETTER DEFENSE
In the last two games, BGSU is holding opponents to 41.2% shooting from the field. In the four games prior to that, teams were shooting 50.5 %.
FALCONS HIT THE ROAD
The Falcons are in a stretch where they are playing seven of nine away from Anderson Arena.
SERIES RECORDS AGAINST THE FIELD

LEWIS AMONG MAC LEADERS
Sophomore guard Ron Lewis is third in the league in scoring averaging 16.4 points per game. He also ranks 10th in field goal percentage, fifth in free throw percentage, second in free throws attempted, sixth in assists and fifth in assists/turnover ratio.
MONTGOMERY IS TOP MAC FRESHMAN
Austin Montgomery is now the leading scorer among MAC frosh averaging 10.8 points. Against Detroit, he saw his streak of four straight double-digit efforts snapped but made two key three pointers for the Falcons.
FALCON NOTES
Ron Lewis topped 30 points for the third time in his career and second time this season with his 33-point effort at IPFW. He made a career-high 12 field goals and took a career-high 23 shot attempts. With his 40 minutes against IPFW, Lewis played 40 minutes or more in a game for the fourth time in his career. Lewis, a career 81% free throw shooter, has averaged 6.7 free throw attempts per game in the first 37 games of his career.
In the last five games, Austin Montgomery is averaging 13.8 points per contest and has made 58% of his shots from the field and 50% of his three-point opportunities during that time. Montgomery is the top scoring freshman in the MAC averaging 10.8 points per game. He also had a season-high nine rebounds against Michigan.
Kevin Netter had his first 20-point game of the season against Detroit. In his last two home games, he has made 15 of 17 field goal attempts. Averaging just 2.9 rebounds per game for his career, Netter has been extremely aggressive on the glass in the last two games with 18 rebounds, including 10 against Michigan.
Junior Josh Almanson is tied for second place on the BGSU career list shooting 59.6 percent (171/287).
The Falcons' 19 offensive rebounds at Michigan were its most since they had 21 at Ball State in January of 2002.
The Falcons have outrebounded their opponents in seven of their nine games this season.
This will be the fifth regular season tournament that BGSU has played in under Coach Dan Dakich. The Falcons are 4-0 in first round games in these events.
