GETTING BACK ON TRACK
The Falcons will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak when they face IPFW.
REBOUNDING A PLUS FOR THE FALCONS
The Falcons have outrebounded their opponents 37.0 to 29.8 this season after five games.
FALCONS LOOKING TO GET HEALTHY
When the Falcons went 24-9 in the 2001-02 season, not one player missed a single minute due to injury. With Germain Fitch (knee) and John Reimold (bruised thigh) missing Saturday's game against Northwestern, it marked the 33rd straight game that BGSU has had at least one projected starter miss a game due to injury and the 19th time in 22 games that at least two projected starters were unavailable.
FALCONS CAPTURED FIRST TWO GAMES
BGSU was 2-0 for the first time since the 1999-2000 season after its 64-50 victory over Findlay. The Falcons won the MAC title that season.
FALCONS HIT THE ROAD
The Falcons are in a stretch where they are playing four of five on the road. Prior to hosting Northwestern on December 6, the Falcons played at Bradley and Buffalo and will visit Michigan (Dec. 13) before returning home to face Detroit (Dec. 18).
NETTER TIES ANDERSON ARENA RECORD
Senior center Kevin Netter tied an Anderson Arena record when he made all eight of his field goal attempts against Northwestern. That tied the mark set by Brent Klassen who knocked in all eight of his field goal attempts in 2002 against Marshall. Netter finished with 16 points against the Wildcats. Since being held scoreless in the opener against Urbana, Netter has averaged 15.3 points.
ABOUT IPFW
The Falcons will be the third MAC team to venture into Fort Wayne this season. Toledo beat IPFW, 71-53, in the season opener, and Kent State escaped, 67-66. IPFW has played its last four games away from home including contests against Oregon State, Washington State, Iowa State and Arkansas-Little Rock.
