SENIOR DAY
The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team, 12-14 overall and 8-9 in the MAC, is home for the third of three straight games in Anderson Arena (Miami, Eastern Michigan and Toledo) after playing just twice in Anderson Arena in the month of February. Toledo, 12-15 and 6-11 in the league, is coming off an impressive 100-64 victory over Ball State on Wednesday night. The game will mark the final home contest for the Falcons' lone senior, Cory Ryan. Ryan made the game-winning three-pointer in the Falcons' 73-72 win over Eastern Michigan.
THE SERIES
The Rockets hold a 76-71 lead in the most-played rivalry for either team. Toledo captured a 73-59 victory on February 11 at Savage Hall. Last year in Anderson Arena, BG took home a 76-57 triumph.
THE MAC TOURNAMENT
The Falcons could be seeded as high as sixth or as low as 11th in next week's MAC Tournament which begins at campus sites Monday. Central Michigan will be the top seed, Toledo will be the 12th seed and Buffalo will be seeded 13th. Kent State (2nd or 4th), Miami (2nd, 3rd or 4th), and Northern Illinois (3rd or 4th). It is possible for six teams, including BGSU, to finish with 9-9 league records. If BGSU should host a first-round matchup, the game will be played Monday at 7 p.m. Final pairings for the 2003 MAC Tournament will not be released until 10 p.m., Saturday evening.
