Harris Leads White To 24-19 Comeback Win

Bowling Green, Ohio - Senior quarterback Josh Harris hit sophomore wide receiver Derrick Lett with a 25-yard TD pass with 58 seconds remaining to give the White squad a 24-19 victory over the Orange in BGSU's 2003 Spring Football Game.
Harris, who was 20-29 for 164 yards, drove his team 70-yards in 1:46 to rally his team to the win. Lett who caught the game-winning score, had eight catches for 81 yards.
"I thought it was a very competitive game and it was a good conclusion to a good spring," said first-year head coach Gregg Brandon.
Prior to the game-winning drive, redshirt freshman Omar Jacobs led the Orange team on an 18-play drive, which resulted in a one yard touchdown pass to junior Cole Magner with 2:40 remaining. Magner finished with 8 receptions for 43 yards and also added a TD on a fumble recovery in the end zone. Sophomore Charles Sharon led the Orange with seven catches for 51 yards, including a six-yard TD strike.
Sophomore P.J. Pope capped off a 70-yard drive for the White team in the first quarter with a 40-yard touchdown, to open up the scoring for both teams. Pope finished the game with 8 carries and 59 yards, including two touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball the White team was led by newcomer Devon Parks, who led all players with 11 tackles (2 solo) including one tackle for loss. The squad also was helped by interceptions from senior Janssen Patton, sophomore Monty Cooley, and freshman Adam Holloway.
For the Orange team sophomore Matt Leininger had four tackles (3 for loss) which included two sacks that resulted in a loss of nine yards.
