Falcons Complete Meet At Drake Relays

Des Moines, Iowa - The Falcons concluded the 94th annual Drake Relays, held in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons were led junior sprinter Alicia Taylor, who placed seventh in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.15, her second-best time of the season.
The foursome of Amber Walker, Marquita McGowan, Ellen Alkire and Melissa Krueger placed 17th in the sprint medley relay with a time of 4:04.12.
On Friday, Amber Culp placed seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:57.26, her second-best time on the season. Kerri McClung placed 18th in the shot put with a mark of 42-11.00. The quartet of Valerie Holland, Marquita McGowan, Alicia Taylor and Amber Walker placed fourth in the 4 x 200 with a time of 1:39.87, to finish seventh in the event.
On the slate next for the Falcons is a May 2 date at Indianapolis, Indiana, where they will compete in the Butler Twi-Light.
