Four Members Of The Falcon Track Team To Compete At Mideast Regional Championship

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Ohio State University and Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium will be the site of the 2003 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Mideast Regional Championships on May 30-31. The Falcons will be sending Amber Culp, Alicia Taylor, Kerri McClung and Mary Willemsto compete in the meet.
Junior Amber Culp earned her regional qualifying time on May 16 at the MAC Championships with a time of 10:42.07, which ranks here 12th in the Mideast region.
With a time of 13.84 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles at the MAC Championships, junior Alicia Taylor earned the right to travel to Columbus. She currently ranks 27th in the Mideast region in the 100-meter hurdles.
Junior Kerri McClung earned her regional qualifying time in the first outdoor meet of the year where she posted a mark of 14.51 meters in the shot put at the Clemson Relays back on March 22. McClung currently ranks 25th in the Mideast region in the shot put.
Last weekend at the MAC Championships, senior Mary Willems posted a part of 54.00 meters to finish the event in sixth place. That mark currently ranks here 19th in the hammer throw in the Mideast region.
