The poll results were released Tuesday (July 22) at the 2003 MAC Football Media Day, held at the Detroit Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit.

Marshall (15), Miami (6), BGSU (5), UCF (5) and UT (4) all received votes to win the league championship game.
In the East Division, the voters tabbed Miami to win the division, just one point ahead of Marshall and six in front of UCF.
In addition to meeting with the media masses on Tuesday, Harris also was a part of a MAC panel on sportsmanship Monday afternoon (July 21).
The Falcons finished with a 9-3 overall record in 2002, and BGSU was third in the West with a 6-2 MAC mark a year ago. The Falcons open the 2003 campaign vs. Eastern Kentucky on Thursday, Aug. 28.
