Falcons Tune Up Skills At Red Simmons Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Michigan - The Bowling Green State University track & field team traveled north to compete in the Red Simmons Invitational held in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Saturday afternoon held inside the U-M Track Building. Though no team scores were kept, several Falcons used the competition to prepare for the rest of the season.
Valerie Holland and Amber Culp established new personal-bests during the meet. Holland posted a time of 7.69 in the 60-meter dash, placing fourth, while Culp placed seventh in the 3,000 meters with a 10:21.99.
Amber Walker had her best performance of the young season, posting a 25.38 in the 200-meter dash.
Freshman Erica Wilson placed sixth in the long jump with a mark of 17-10.25. She also placed tenth in the high jump with a distance of 5-03.75.
The Falcons return to action next Friday when they host the BGSU Triangular on January 30 inside the Perry Field House. The meet is set for 5:00 p.m.
