RECAP OF PAST WEEK
The past week saw complete opposites. On Thursday the Falcons swept Central Michigan, only to be swept by Ohio a few days later.
The win over CMU matched last years win total of 12, and even though the match went only three games, five Falcons nearly recorded double-figure kills. Taylor Twite led the team with 15, with Stephanie Swiger (9), Emily Manser (9), Maggie Karges (8) and Amber Mareski (8) also chipping in. For the match BGSU hit .275.
Defensively Maggie Karges record 19 digs (6.33 digs/game) to lead the team, with Chrissy Gothke (18) and Manser (11) also posting double-digit digs.
On Sunday the Falcons ran into the defending MAC Champs and fell in three games (30-19, 30-15, 30-25). The Falcons were outmatch the first two games, with Ohio hitting .324 and .731 in the first two games. BGSU nearly pulled off the game three win behind 16 kills as a team, but the Bobcat offense was too much.
A LOOK AT THE OPPONENTS
Central Michigan (5-15, 2-7 MAC) is earned their second conference win of the year after downing Buffalo in three games (30-21, 31-29, 30-25). With the win last week, BGSU now owns a 20-19 series advantage over the Chippewas.

The last time the Brown & Orange have earned the award on three different occasions was back in 2001 when Kristin Gamby, Susie Norris and Caty Rommeck were named East Division Player of the Week.
