CLEVELAND, Ohio (BGSUFalcons.com) - Bowling Green State University sophomore Lindsay Carter has been named the Mid-American Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon (Nov. 1). Carter earns the honor for the first time in her Falcon career.
Carter, a native of Hilliard, Ohio (Darby H.S.), had two goals as the Falcons defeated arch-rival Toledo, 3-0, Thursday afternoon (Oct. 28) in a must-win match. The victory clinched a MAC Tournament berth for the Falcons, who have qualified for the tourney for the third consecutive year.

BGSU is 7-11-2 overall, and finished MAC regular-season action with a 5-5-2 league mark. The Falcons, the eighth seed for the MAC Tournament, open league tourney play with a Tuesday (Nov. 2) match at top-seeded Kent State University. That quarterfinal match begins at 2:00 p.m. at the KSU Soccer Field.
