The Falcons shot 50.0 percent from three-point range (9/18) and have hit half or more of their long distance calls four times this season (Kent State, Marshall, Central Michigan, Akron).
Junior Cory Eyink had a career-high 20 points and added five rebounds. His seven field goals made and four three-pointers drained also established career-bests. He has averaged 15.5 points in two games since returning to the starting lineup. Eyink leads the team in three-point field goal percentage making 48.4% of his shots against MAC competition (15 of 31).
Sophomore Steven Wright also had a career-high 15 points. He also had six rebounds and six assists. He has averaged 14 points during the past week and with three of five makes on three-point attempts is now shooting 45.8% from long distance against MAC foes.
Junior John Reimold scored 13 points and made a season-high seven free throws in eight attempts. He had five assists or more in a game for the fifth time in eight games.
The Falcons held a 36/29 edge on the boards and outrebounded an opponent for the 14th time this season.
Senior Kevin Netter had 11 points and five rebounds and two blocked shots. He leads the team with 29 blocked shots.
Sophomore Ron Lewis had nine points, five rebounds and three assists. He is the teams leading scorer (18.2) and rebounder (4.9) and is second in assists (71) and steals (16). he has made 50.0 percent of his three-point field goals (16/32) over the last five games.
The Falcons will wrap up their stretch of four of five on the road at Northern Illinois, Wednesday night.
