BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Jill Lause is the Bowling Green State University Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Lause, a sophomore on the BGSU women's basketball team, helped the Falcons to a pair of double-digit road wins last week.
Lause, a native of Dublin, Ohio (Coffman H.S.), came off the bench to set season bests in numerous categories in a win at Central Michigan Saturday (Feb. 14).
Lause scored eight points and added five rebounds, both season highs, in a 69-51 win over the Chippewas. In addition to those two categories, Lause also set personal season standards in field goals made (four) and attempted (six) and minutes played (13). She tied her career bests in both rebounding and field goals attempted.
Lause also saw action in the Falcons' 76-55 win at Ohio (Feb. 11), the team's biggest MAC road win in over seven years.
Lause, currently undecided upon a major, maintains a cumulative grade point average of 3.35.
The Falcons, after a 102-97, four-overtime loss to Northern Illinois Wednesday (Feb. 18), are 15-8 overall and 8-4 in Mid-American Conference play heading into Saturday's (Feb. 21) home game vs. Kent State. That game, the first half of a doubleheader at Anderson Arena, begins at 1:00 p.m.
