Bunko Leads Falcons at Regionals

BATON ROUGE, La. - Five members of the Bowling Green State University track and field team traveled to Baton Rouge, La. over the weekend for the 2004 Regionals, hosted by Louisiana State University. Freshman Andrean Bunko was the top Falcon finisher, with a ninth-place finish in the javelin throw (137-09).
The other BGSU freshman, Liz Honegger, placed 23rd in the discus throw with a toss of 147-00, her third-best performance of the season.
Competing in their final meet of their Falcon careers were, Alicia Taylor, Amber Culp and Kerri McClung. Taylor placed 26th in the 100-meter hurdle prelims with a sprint of 14.26. Culp placed 22nd in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:16.85, while McClung finished her Falcon career with a mark of 46-00.75 in the shot put, good enough for 23rd place.
