Falcons Host BGSU Invitational This Weekend

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University track and field team, fresh off a dominating performance at the Saginaw Valley Holliday Classic, will open their home schedule this Saturday as they host the BGSU Invitational. Joining the Falcons this weekend will be Miami, Ohio, Detroit-Mercy, Western Michigan and John Carroll.
ADMISSION:
Adults: $5.00 Students and Youth (18 or under): $2.00
SCORING:
"International"--2 places/team/event 1 place/relay
FIELD HOUSE LOCATION:
Perry Field House is located at the corner of Mercer Road and MerryAvenue across from our Student Recreation Center and Ice Hockey Arena. If entering Bowling Green from I-75, proceed west on Wooster Avenue to second traffic light (Mercer). Turn right and proceed north _-mile to Perry Field House.
FACILITIES:
The Field House track is 200 meters, with six lanes on the oval and eight lanes on the sprint straightaway. The high jump and throwing events will be contested in the Turf Room.
Team camps will be located in the Turf Room, as well as all pre-event warm-up areas.
All food and drinks brought into the facility must be consumed within the designated area in the Turf Room.
LOCKER ROOMS:
Limited dressing and shower facilities are available in Perry Field House. Locks and towels are not provided.
SHOWERS:
Shower facilities and lockers and very limited. Teams should come dressed to compete. Showers are available after the meet, but it is suggested that all athletes do not attempt to shower at the same time.
TRAINING ROOM:
There is a training room with access to moist heat, whirlpools and ice. BGSU will have trainers on hand to assist any of the athletes in the meet. All trainers from participating schools will have access to this area.
RULES:
Absolutely no spikes can be worn in the infield. The high jump and throws will be contested in the Turf Room. _-inch pyramid spikes are allowed in high jump shoes. No food or beverage is permitted in the track or in the Turf Room. Water bottles will be permitted in one designated area of the track only! There will also be water just outside the training room area. No food or gum will be permitted in the track or Turf Room!
TIMING:
Finish Lynx timing will be utilized with video back-up.
HOSPITALITY:
Food and drink will be available to coaches in the meeting room located on the southeast side of the track.
RESULTS:
Results will be posted on the southeast corner wall in the Turf Room periodically throughout the meet. At the conclusion of the meet, complete results will be distributed to each program at the scorer's table in the finish line area. Please be patient with this process. Results also will be posted on our web page following the meet if you don't wish to wait for a hard copy (www.bgsufalcons.com).

In the horizontal jumps and the throws, the top nine athletes advance to the finals.
