Ball State Coach Tim Buckley
"We have such great respect for them, they run their offense so well.
BGSU Coach Dan Dakich
"I thought Ball State was just better than us. ...We got running our offense pretty good and when they went to zone, we didn't really do anything. I think we scored one basket in the last however many minutes it was and that opened up the game. But I give them credit, they drive the basketball, they're tough to guard. We don't necessarily have enough quickness on the perimeter to defend real good drivers which they are. Then you combine that with the shots they hit in the first half, it made it tough and I thought they did a really good job."
"I thought they were very good with the dribble, they have a tough style for us to play against, I can't speak for how anyone else plays but a tough style for us. I thought they were able to get past us, make us help, make us reach or grab, whatever it was and we kept fouling them."
"I felt like our guards missed a lot of open people. It is frustrating sometimes with our offense because I've been involved with it for 20-some years and I see things open that others don't and I thought Steven Wright came out to cut hard and do some things. You're not going to make all of your open looks even though you get them. I was just disappointed we didn't get the ball inside, which is what we had talked about. I thought we did in the second half, particularly towards the middle and got our offense humming pretty good but we were already down at that point, they went to zone and we didn't score."
