BGSU will host Akron on Thursday, February 3 and have a rematch with Ohio in Anderson Arena on February 7. The OU game is on Fox Sports Ohio. The Falcons visit Toledo, February 9 and Kent State, February 12.
BGSU committed a season-low 11 turnovers.
Senior John Reimold led the Falcons with 23 points and with five three-point field goals, he establishes a new BGSU career record with 201 three-pointers. He breaks the old mark of 199 set by Keith McLeod from 1998-02.
Reimold leads the Falcons averaging 19.0 points per game during MAC play. He has now scored 1,137 career points at BGSU and is tied for 26th place at BGSU with Tommy Harris (1975-77).
Senior Josh Almanson broke double figures for the 17th straight game with 14 points. He also had eight rebounds.
Junior Mawel Soler had nine first-half points and also added four rebounds. He is shooting 80.6% from the field (29/36) this season and made three of four field goal attempts against the Bobcats.
Sophomore John Floyd had nine points, three rebounds and five assists. With two more free throws made, he is now shooting 91.7% from the line this season.
Semnior Cory Eyink had seven points off the bench and had five rebounds, which matches his season high in boards.
Junior Steven Wright had five points and six assists.
Junior Germain Fitch played just three minutes and scored on his only field goal attempt.
BGSU made 10 of 11 free throw attempts (they have shot a league low 285 charity tosses), and leads the MAC in free throw percentage at 74.4%
BGSU led 23-11 in the first half and was ahead at halftime, 39-35. The biggest BGSU lead in the second half was five (twice).
