BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Quoting Bowling Green State University women's basketball coach Curt Miller after the Falcons' 68-50 win over Indiana Saturday night (Nov. 26) ...
"I can't be more proud of the kids. They played great, and they fought. We recruit against the Big Ten all the time, and we believe that we can compete with the teams in the middle of the pack in the Big Ten Conference. I felt our team come together. I really felt an energy in the locker room, and a belief in our system, and I think they found out what they are capable of doing. Indiana is a very talented team."
(Is this the biggest win you've had?)
"Any time you can beat a school from a big conference, it's a huge win. I don't know if it's the biggest -- there's no replacing having the chance to play in the NCAA Tournament -- but certainly, it ranks right up there. I have ultimate respect for their coaching staff; they are going to build a championship program here. But, I couldn't be more proud of our kids. We know we have to work hard every time out, and that we will get every opponent's best shot, but this win will give us a ton of confidence for the rest of the year."
