Andy Tracy Signs Minor League Contract With Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Former Bowling Green State University baseball standout Andy Tracy signed a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians on Dec. 14 and will be invited to participate in their annual Spring Training starting in February.
Tracy, 32, is coming back from overseas. He began '05 with Triple-A Colorado Springs, where he hit .325 with four homers and 13 RBIs in 12 games before he was sold to Japan's Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles on April 21.
Tracy, a Columbus resident who was originally drafted by the Expos in the 16th round of the 1996 draft, hit .209 in 63 games in Japan.
Tracy ended his Falcon career as the all-time homerun leader in BGSU history with 45. He is also fourth all-time in total bases (342), fifth in runs batted in (141) and third in walks (123).
