Falcons Place Fourth At All-Ohio Championships

ATHENS, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University track and field team finished fourth at the All-Ohio Championships in Athens, Ohio with 77 points. Akron won the meet with 166.50 points. Other MAC finishers included Miami (3rd, 87.5), Toledo (6th, 48) and Ohio (7th, 35).
Leading the way for the Falcons was senior Kerri McClung. She placed first in the shot put with a mark of 48-10.75.
The distance runners also had an impressive meet. Senior Melissa Krueger finished fourth in the one-mile run with a season-best time of 4:59.97. Freshman Jamie Roflow placed second in the 3,000 meters with a 9.59.08.
In the jumps sophomore Veronica Vance placed fourth in the triple jump (38-01.50) and seventh in the long jump (17-10.75).
The sprint events saw Jessica White finish fourth in the 60-meters (7.65) and fifth in the 200-meters (24.90). Sophomore Nicole Standback placed third in the 60-meter hurdles with a 8.72.
Up next for the Falcons is a trip to Mount Pleasant, Michigan, for the MAC Championships on Feb. 25-26.
