Nolan Reimold Named National and MAC Player of the Week

Bowling Green State University junior student-athlete Nolan Reimold has been named "Louisville Slugger's" National Hitter of the Week and Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week. The national hitter of the week award is handed out by Collegiate Baseball newspaper.
Reimold wins his second MAC POW honor of the season after belting four home runs and driving in 13 runs in the Falcons' four games last week. Reimold was 8-for-16 (.500) in four games last week. He collected a hit in all four games, upping his hit streak to a season-long five games. Reimold, who also had two doubles, finished with a 1.375 slugging percentage. The junior opened the week with a 4-for-4 performance against Xavier, hitting a pair of homers and driving in five runs. He then had a home run in each of the team's final two games of its series with Ball State.
The Greenville, Pa., native has a .955 slugging pct. and a .388 batting average in 18 games, both team-highs for the Falcons. Seventeen of Reimold's 26 hits have gone for extra bases, including nine home runs, five doubles, and three triples.
BGSU (12-6 overall, 0-3 MAC) hosts Defiance tomorrow, March 29, at Warren Steller Field. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
