Dan Dakich
"This was a very hard fought game. I thought we were very fortunate to win the basketball game. We got really good play out of different guys, it was kind of an interesting game from our standpoint. Dusan (Radivojevic) playing as much as he played and contributed, Mawel (Soler) guarding their most effective post kid, Martin (Samarco) coming back from a 3-21 shooting deal and I thought, quite frankly, Martin was a little uptight to start the game, which is why I got him out of the game in the first couple of minutes."
"I know Eastern Michigan is short a couple of players, in watching them play, I think they're a tough, tough basketball team and we're just lucky to get out of here with the win."
Talk Martin Samarco's career night...
"He probably got the same shots today that he had at Western Michigan and at home the other day. But he's a working guy, he works everyday at game speed. He's one of the guys that I have that really understands it and I don't think he gets frustrated by a whole lot."
"The thing I liked about Martin's play was his defense. I thought Martin, with four steals, played very good defense, particularly in that stretch where went on a run to open up the game."
Martin Samarco
"Once I got in the rhythm, things just pretty much started falling."
"That's the most important part, that we got the victory, right now I'm feeling pretty good. This was a big win, we got one on the road and now we've got to get ready and try to get another one against Ball State."
Talk about playing in another close game... "In practice we do late game situations. It really isn't that much pressure on us because we work on it everyday. So he already has us prepared so when it comes time for the game, we don't mess up mentally."
