Allstate Good Hands Field Goal Fan Hits Pay Dirt at Falcon Football Game

BOWLING GREEN, OH (November 15, 2006) - With $2,000 on the line, Josh Lucas of Holland, OH put his best foot forward and earned cash for himself and the BGSU general scholarship fund. Lucas hit a 25-yard field goal to win the cash prize as part of the Allstate Good Hands Field Goal Net Program presented by Allstate Insurance Company.
By coming through with the kick, Lucas, who was chosen at random by school officials, won $2,000, half for himself and half donated to the BGSU general scholarship fund. Allstate's Field Goal Kick Challenge, which took place during halftime of the BGSU vs.
"I was a bit nervous since I'd never kicked a 25-yard field goal before; but I'm a huge Falcon fan and it was nice to have the crowd cheering me on," said Lucas. "No matter what, I had a great time out there, but certainly winning $1,000 makes it even better.''
"Congratulations to Josh Lucas for making the big kick in front of a whole stadium of fans," said BGSU Assistant Athletic Director Jason Horn. "I'm glad he was able to split the uprights and win a great prize for himself as well as money for our general scholarship fund."
