TOLEDO, Ohio (BGSUFalcons.com) - Bowling Green State University women's soccer standout Corbie Yee has been named to the 2006 All-Mid-American Conference Team. Yee, a sophomore, has been chosen to the second team, it was announced at the MAC Tournament banquet Thursday evening (Nov. 2) in Toledo, Ohio.
Additionally, BGSU's Colleen Kordan has been named to the MAC's All-Freshman Team for 2006. The All-MAC and all-freshman squads are the results of voting by the league's 12 head coaches.
Yee, a native of Berea, Ohio (Berea HS), played in all 20 of BGSU's matches this season, making 16 starts. The 2005 MAC Freshman of the Year, she finished third on the Falcons with seven points in '06, and tied for the team lead in goals, with three. Two of those goals proved to be game-winning markers, which also tied her for the BG lead.
All three of Yee's goals came in the Falcons' two wins in Kent, Ohio, the weekend of Oct. 13-15. She had all of BGSU's goals as the Brown and Orange picked up a 1-0 win over Kent State and a 2-0 victory against Buffalo. In the KSU game, her goal came in overtime. For her efforts, Yee was named the MAC Player of the Week on Oct. 16. Her lone assist of the season came in the Falcons' win over Western Michigan on Sept. 24.
Yee, as mentioned just a sophomore, is the Falcons' active career scoring leader, with nine goals and 22 points. She already ranks 10th in BGSU history in career goals, and is 15th on the Falcons' career points list.

Miami's Kathleen Vistica was named the MAC's Player of the Year for 2006, while Central Michigan's Stephanie Martin was chosen the league's freshman of the year. Michelle Salmon of Ball State was selected as the MAC Coach of the Year.
The Falcons finished the 2006 campaign with an overall record of 10-10-0. BGSU, with 12 newcomers -- including 11 freshmen -- on the 24-player roster, tied for third place in the MAC with a league ledger of 7-4-0. Head coach Andy Richards had just one senior, Lindsay Carter, among those 24 players.
