Gymnastics Hands Out Awards

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University gymnastics team held their 2006 end-of-season banquet Saturday (Apr. 22) afternoon, while honoring four seniors and handing out several awards.
Jholeen Ponce received the Outstanding Newcomer award, while Allison Swafford was the Most Improved Gymnast. The Coaches Award went to Marie-Eve Boisvert, who missed most of the season due to a knee injury. Winning the Most Valuable Gymnast was Jessica Guyer.
The four year letter winners were the two co-captains, Guyer and Bradley. Guyer and Bradley along with Boisvert and Melissa Bruch all were awarded senior awards. Jenna Wirtanen, Ashlee deLeeuw, Marissa Saneholtz, and Ponce all received their letter jackets for their first year of lettering.
The captains for next season were also named. Swafford, Karly Yohe, and Sakura Tomita will be replacing the shoes of Guyer and Bradley.

Second year letter winners: Bethany Kenel, Jessica McArthur, Jayme Stambaugh, Jacque Bernhardt, and Jillian Stranges
Third year letter winners: Erin Coudriet and Allison Swafford
