Falcons Announce 2006-07 Hockey Schedule

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University hockey coach Scott Paluch has announced the 2006-07 Falcon schedule. Highlighting this year's schedule are 16 home games and 10 total games with teams that participated in last year's NCAA Tournament.

Other non-conference games (on road) include Providence (Oct. 20), Boston College (Oct. 21), Clarkson (Nov. 24) and St. Lawrence (Nov. 25). BGSU will also compete in the Ohio Hockey Classic down in Columbus, Ohio on Dec. 29-30. Also competing in that tournament will be Miami, Minnesota Duluth, and the host Buckeyes. The contest with Miami or Ohio State would be considered non-conference affairs.
The Falcons open the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) action on Oct. 27-28, as they will travel to Oxford, Ohio, for a pair of contest with the RedHawks of Miami.
In this year's cluster the Falcons will play four games each with Alaska Fairbanks (Dec. 8-9 and Jan. 26-27), Nebraska-Omaha (Dec. 1-2 and Jan. 12-13) and Notre Dame (Nov. 10-11 and Feb. 2-3).
Other home contests with CCHA opponents include Lake Superior (Nov. 3-4), Ohio State (Nov. 17-18), Western Michigan (Jan. 5-6) and Michigan State (Feb. 23).
CCHA road contests include Michigan (Jan. 9), Northern Michigan (Jan. 19-20), Ferris State (Feb. 16-17) and Michigan State (Feb. 24)
The CCHA Tournament begins on Mar. 2-4 (First Round), Mar. 9-11 (Second Round) and Mar. 16-17 (CCHA Semi-Finals and Finals).
BGSU opens the season on Oct. 5 versus Windsor in an exhibition contest inside the Ice Arena at 7:05 p.m.
