Roflow Named to USTFCCA All-Academic List

METARIE, Lousiana - The U.S. Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USATFCCCA) has announced their 2006 All-Academic teams and individuals and Bowling Greens very own Jamie Roflow has been named to the list for her accomplishments during the track season.
Roflow, a Cincinnati, Ohio, native, with a 3.8421 GPA, helped the Falcons to a 10th place finish indoors and a three spot improvement outdoors to a seventh place finish. Individually, Roflow set numerous records and accomplishments. Roflow was the top distance runner for the Falcons for the 2006 indoor and outdoor season, accomplishing many things along the way. During the indoor season she finished fourth in the 3,000-meter at the MAC Championships with a time of 9:50.18 and then came back the next night to finish third in the 5,000-meters, running a personal best of 16:56.13. She won the 5,000-meters at the BGSU Triangular with a time of 16:58.65. She set a 3,000-meter personal-best at the BGSU Quintangular with a time of 9:43.95 where she finished first. In the mile, Roflow had two second place finishes, one at the BGSU Triangular where she set a personal-record of 4:59.96 and the other at the All-Ohio Championships with a time of 5:01. Outdoors, she was one of four Falcons two qualify for Regionals and she qualified in two events (steeplechase and 5,000-meters). Roflow made history by shattering the steeplechase record by ten seconds with a time of 10:27.36 at the Hillsdale Relays, finishing second. She finished second at the MAC Championships in the steeplechase with a time of 10:27.37. She ran the 5,000-meters in a time of 16:43.54 at the MAC championships where she finished second and places her second in BGSU 5,000-meter history. Roflow also won the 1,500-meters at the Toledo Tri-Meet with a personal-record of 4:35.33. For her second place finishes in the 5,000 and the steeplechase at the outdoor MAC Championships, she was named as a second team honoree on the All-MAC squad. Academically, Roflow was named to the Academic All-MAC squad both during the indoor and outdoor season.
